Heist Society

Currently in the Heist Society, Katarina has been accused of committing a fraud. This fraud is placing the headmaster’s 1958 Porsche Speedster, atop the main fountain in the front of the school. They have proof or so they think, of Kat committing the fraud. Even though she insists that she has not done so. The proof that they have is, a black and white security camera video showing someone in a black hoody, and her Colgan student card blown up on screen. The Colgan school board then decided that she did commit the crime and that she had to be expelled.
Once they expelled her a long black stretch limo picked Kat up. In the back of the limo was W.W. Hale the fifth. He was a family friend. The truth was that Hale committed the fraud! Is this true? Yes, Hale admits to Kat that he committed the fraud of putting the headmaster’s 1958 Porsche Speedster atop the fountain. He told her that the reason he did this was that he had a job for her, a job he knew that she wouldn’t be able to resist. What could this job be? More theft cases for Katarina to complete? It couldn’t be she was out of the family business, or so she thought. Would Katarina take the job from Hale,or not? Kat would have to really think about this job.
My feelings on these events are that they do not make complete sense in the order that they came, I believe that they should have had Hale talk to Kat about the job before the fountain fraud. I think that it should have been laid out this way because then it would have made more sense in saying that at first she did not want to do the job, because she was done with crime. Then after she supposedly “committed” the crime, it would seem that perhaps she did want to do the job.
My feelings on the characters are that they are very interesting, I think that they fit the book well. I also think that maybe the author should have given us a little more information on Kat and her family, before they introduced Hale. I do not really understand who Hale is or where he came from. That is something that is confusing me.
“Art, he does a lot of things, but he specializes in art.” - Katarina Bishop
I think that this quote is important to the book because it tells you a little bit about Kat’s father. This quote tells us that her father does something that is mostly involved with art.
